Xu Bing, spokesman of the Canton Fair and deputy director of China Foreign Trade Center, said at the media briefing of the 132nd Canton Fair on October 9 that foreign trade is an important part of China's open economy and an important driving force for national economic development. As China's largest import and export trade promotion platform, the Canton Fair will take practical measures to promote the innovative development of trade.

The scope of exhibitors further expanded
Xu Bing introduced that the theme of this Canton Fair is "China Unicom domestic and international double cycle". The exhibition content includes three parts: online exhibition platform, supply and purchase docking service, cross-border e-commerce special area. Exhibitors' exhibits, virtual exhibition halls, exhibitors' online display, news and activities, conference services and other columns were set up.
50 exhibition areas will be set up for export exhibitions according to 16 categories of commodities, and 6 categories of theme commodities of import exhibitions will be included in the corresponding exhibition areas. Continue to set up a special area for "rural revitalization", and carry out synchronous activities by linking the cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot area and some cross-border e-commerce platforms.
Xu Bing introduced that, in addition to all 25000 enterprises participating in the original physical exhibition, the application for exhibition was further released, and qualified applicants were allowed to participate in the exhibition after review, so as to expand the number of beneficiary enterprises. Up to now, there are 34744 exhibitors in the Export Expo, an increase of about 40% over the previous one. There are 416 exhibitors from 34 countries and regions.
In order to help enterprises rescue, Xu Bing said that this Canton Fair will continue to exempt enterprises from online participation fees, and will not charge any fees from cross-border e-commerce platforms participating in synchronous activities. A large number of high-quality enterprises with both strength and characteristics appeared in this Canton Fair, including 2094 brand enterprises, more than 3700 enterprises with the titles of national high-tech enterprises, China time-honored brands, China Customs AEO Advanced Certification, and national enterprise technology center. A large number of high-quality enterprises participated in the import exhibition.
Xu Bing introduced that the upload of exhibitors' exhibition information was started on September 15. Up to now, more than 3.06 million exhibits have been uploaded, a new record. Among them, there are more than 130000 smart products, more than 500000 green low-carbon exhibits, and more than 260000 products with independent intellectual property rights.
